He was largely influenced by the likes of DJ Premier and Pete Rock, experimenting with hip-hop and electro beats. From play-pretend gigs to EDM domination, he took the fast lane as Lane 8.
His recent album "Childish" was came out two years ago, released through his own 'This Never Happened' record label. Inspired by his children, the album's cover featred colorful beads made by his daughter, Heidi. It's a nice change from his usual nature-inspired imagery. Sharing new songs that highlight joy and his creative freedom, it's an album that's personal and spontaneous, all the while packing his iconic melodic EDM brand.
It followed his 2022 release, "Reviver" - a record that EDM.com says is "an introspective search for a more hopeful tomorrow".
